I e-filed my taxes yesterday, April 15th. When I was going through my filing, I selected to have the taxes that I owed withdrawn from my checking account and provided the information. I had selected the payment date of April 15th, but it kept returning a message that I had to select a payment date at least the day after the filing.
So I selected April 16th. Will I now face a late payment penalty, even though I filed and initiated the payment on the 15th?
