Get your taxes done using TurboTax

In order to claim them, you have to meet the following requirements for each of them :

-Relationship: Must be your child, adopted child, foster-child, brother or sister, or a descendant of one of these

-Residence: Must have the same residence for more than half the year.

-Age:  Must be under age 19 or under 24 and a full-time student for at least 5 months. They can be any age if they are totally and permanently disabled.

-Support:  She must not have provided more than half of their own support during the year.  Check  Support Test

-Joint Support: She cannot file a joint return for the year.

 

If you do not meet the above requirements, here is a second chance you can still claim them if meet the followings:

Gross Income: She earned less than $4,200 in 2019.

Total Support: You provide more than half of her total support for the year. -Check Support Test

Relationship: Must be your child, adopted child, foster child, brother or sister, or a descendant of one of these 

She cannot be claimed by another taxpayer

-You will need to apply the above rules to each of your daughters to see if each of them qualifies to be claimed as your dependent.
