Get your taxes done using TurboTax
To enter a 1099-Misc, you will have to upgrade from the Federal Free. Enter it exactly like you got it:
- Go to the Federal Taxes Tab.
- Click continue on the page that says "Let's Get your Biggest Refund Possible."
- Click I'll choose what I work on at the page that says "How do you want to enter your income."
- On this page, there should be a section that says "1099-Misc and Other Common Income."
- In this section it will have "Income from Form 1099-MISC." Click start or revisit next to that and follow the instructions.
If you are not wanting to upgrade, you may want to check into our Freedom Edition (not to be confused with Federal Free):
To qualify for free 2016 federal and state tax returns in
Freedom Edition, you'll need to meet at least one of these requirements:
A maximum 2016 adjusted gross income (AGI) of $33,000
You qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC); or
You
served as active duty military (including Reservists and National
Guard) with a maximum 2016 AGI of $64,000 (you'll also need a
military-issued W-2).
