I received a Dissertation Award the year following receiving my PhD. I was asked to complete a W9 which I did. Should I receive some sort of 1099 for this award?
I was working at a different institution and in a different state than the institution that issued the award. There was no work expected or required in return, and it was not an award I applied for.
