Relocated in last week of Dec 2017 and was paid 10000 for relocation. Reported this in 2017 taxes. See this amount included in 2018 W2. How do I avoid paying tax twice?
I checked with my employer and was told as this was paid after Nov 21 which was the deadline for reporting relocation expense, this got reported next year.
