In response is mentioned "At this point, the non-resident spouse is not required to file a tax return, and the resident alien taxpayer does not have to declare a filing status (MFS, MFJ) with the request for extension."
Whereas in TurboTax extension one has to select MFS or MFJ. Can we use MFS for extension purpose and then change it MFJ once I have spouses' ITIN?
