I am not sure what you mean by long term insurance. The VA is considered health insurance which meets the Affordable Care Act (ACA) minimum requirement for health insurance versus a short term health insurance policy, which does not meet the ACA minimum requirement for health insurance.
Long Term Care Insurance is generally for nursing homes or at home care.
