Not quite. While it is true that law has not changed, in response to an Executive Order, the IRS has indicated that it will process and not reject returns that do not indicate whether or not the taxpayer had the required insurance. The IRS statement (link below) says they might ask questions about it later if they have questions about your return. What exactly that means, I don't know.
