Got married in Nov 2015, Wife will be coming to US on or before 31st Dec 2015. Can i claim her as my dependent and file taxes as married jointly even she wasn't in USA.

I got married in india on 26th Nov 2015. My wife will be coming to USA on H4 visa before 31st Dec 2015. Please let me know if i can claim her as a dependent & file taxes as Married jointly even she was not present in USA for complete year. 

What if she comes in January 2016, Do i need to file taxes as single?
