Thanks for your reply. This is on TurboTax Deluxe 2025 (desktop). On the "let's review your numbers" screen, there's a "detailed tax breakdown" link under the "Federal Credits We Found For You" line. If you click on that link, the "2025 tax breakdown" screen appears. On the right side, there are (on my screen) three "why the difference?" links. When you click the one for the "sales tax" line, that outdated help screen text pops up.
