Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I have  tried to get technical assistance three times.  I just get a chrome popup window to submit a credit card.  Three cards were declined.  One however tried to withdraw $70.00 from a Southwest card (instead of the advertised $5).  My partner declined the payment and I think her card got voided,   In all cases there is no way to reply to the request for a credit card.  However in one case, the assistant was willing to try to put me through to the tech assistant, but I was sent back to "no exit" credit card prompt.  So there are several problems : 1. my turbotax deluxe windows app cannot find a social security or other form 2. my partner may need a new credit card. 3.  I can't get help to get my taxes done.

I'll address the card issue first, then try to guess at what you mean by "social security or other form."

This is mainly a user community forum, so we can't help you with any account-specific credit card issue.  If your partner's credit card is locked/suspended, they will need to investigate that with the credit card's customer support.   I don't know what you mean by "advertised $5."  I can't think of what that might be, but I'm a fellow user; I don't work for TurboTax.

I don't know how you reached TurboTax Support, but you would need to talk to them for a credit card issue.  Be careful, however, and be sure you are using a legitimate TurboTax Support contact method since there are some fake support scams on the Internet.

"1. my turbotax deluxe windows app cannot find a social security or other form."

I'm not sue what that means.  Are you saying you can't find the topic to enter Social Security income such as an SSA-1099?  I don't know what "other form" means.

So as a guess, if you need to enter an SSA-1099, here's the navigation in desktop TurboTax:

  • Federal tab (except in Home and Business it's called the Personal tab.)
  • Subtab "Wages & Income."
  • On the Income Summary page, scroll down to the topic Retirement Income (may be called Retirement Plans and Social Security)
  • Find the subtopic for Social Security and click on Start (or Update/Revisit)..
