The form is ridiculous and very hard to understand. The IRS wants duplicate forms even when married filing jointly. I feel both let down by turbo tax and very upset with every BS lie I hear them advertise about "all forms" and "tax expert" help. I paid to have my taxes done only to be told I had to fill out this crazy from 709 and mail it separately.
Turbo-tax left me no choice but to wing it on IRS form 709. Even google Gemini is unsure of the correct way to file this form!!!

After many years of letting you rip me off for a simple state return I feel it is time for me to start looking elsewhere for a complete tax solution.
