If you have already filed your tax return, it doesn't make any difference whether the box is checked or not, unless you are eligible for the Earned Income Credit (EIC). If you went through the EIC section of TurboTax you would have been asked if your main home was in the U.S. and the box would have been checked.
If you have not filed your tax return yet, this has been fixed in TurboTax. The box will now be checked.
