The 5-digit code in TurboTax is a self-select PIN which you can use to verify your identity. It is not the IRS PIN.

To enter your IRS IP PIN, follow these steps:
- In TurboTax Online, open your return
- Click on Search (magnifying glass icon) at the top right of your screen
- In the Search box, enter IP PIN and click Enter
- In the search result box, click on Go to IP PIN
- TurboTax will take you directly to the section where you can enter your IRS IP PIN.
