Get your taxes done using TurboTax

A state return will still need to have the interview completed in order to make sure it is done correctly before submitting it.  As an example, California will need confirmation that you (and your family) had healthcare coverage throughout the year.  There may also be adjustments to your income where the state tax law differs from Federal.  Another California example is contributions to Health Savings Accounts that are exempt from Federal tax are not exempt from California state tax.

It is true that TurboTax will pull over much of the information needed on the state return based on the input for the Federal return, however, the state return will not be considered complete until the interview questions for that state are all answered.
