Question About W-2/1099 Forms and State Taxes After Relocation

Hi Everyone,

I recently (Q3/2025) relocated from Texas to New Jersey. While in Texas, I worked for Uber/Lyft (ridesharing) and also had W-2 employment. After moving to New Jersey, I updated my mailing address with my previous employers.

When I received my W-2 and 1099 (from Uber and Lyft), they all list my New Jersey address. Should I be concerned about this? Texas has no state income tax, but New Jersey does. Does the address on these forms affect state taxes, or is it just for mailing purposes?

I just want to make sure I report everything correctly in TurboTax.

Thank you!
