Get your taxes done using TurboTax

If you need your tax transmission report to verify the filing of your 2024 tax return, you can use the steps below to get your Electronic Postmark Report. This form confirms the date your tax return was submitted to the IRS. It contains the date and time of the transmission of your tax return.

Steps to Get Transmission/Proof of Filing (Online):

1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
2. On the Tax Home screen, scroll down to "Your tax returns & document's."
3. Click on the tax year, then
4. Click Download/print return (PDF).
5. Select  to "Include government and TurboTax worksheets" to get your full report. You will see your "Electronic Postmark Report"
6. If you cannot find it, click on "Add a state" (you are not actually adding a state) to open the return, then 
7. Select "Tax Tools"
8. Select "Print Center."
    

If you used TurboTax Desktop, you can:

1. Click on "Forms" in the top right of your TurboTax Screen to switch to "Forms Mode"
2. Your forms will display in the left panel of your TurboTax screen
3. You will scroll down your forms to find your Electronic Postmark Report. It is near the bottom of your forms

Your Electronic Postmark Report in TurboTax serves as your official proof of transmission and timely filing of your tax return.
