Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I am using Chrome and have TT H&B and had the exact same issue. Searched for this online and got these two things which I did. I also disabled my adblocker and privacy badger extensions.  I believe the second one did the trick as I did not have any issue with the window popping up so I am pretty sure it was not allowing network access as you can see the site URL was blocked when you go to that setting. Simply selecting ALLOW for that URL did the trick for me.

1. Allow Pop-ups and Redirects (Crucial)
TurboTax opens a separate, secure window for you to log into your financial institution. Chrome often blocks this, causing the import to freeze or fail.
  • Fix: When the screen says "Get forms" or "Import," look at the far right of the address bar for a pop-up blocked icon (a window with a red 'x').
  • Click the icon and select "Always allow pop-ups and redirects from https://turbotax.intuit.com" (or similar, like fidelity.com or vanguard.com depending on the pop-up).
  • Alternative: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site Settings > Pop-ups and redirects and add https://turbotax.intuit.com to the allowed list.

2. Enable Local Network Access
If you are using the TurboTax desktop version, or if the website requires connecting to a local security service to complete the authentication loop, you must enable local network access.
  • Fix: Click the View Site Information icon (the lock symbol) to the left of the address bar.
  • Click "Site Settings".
  • Scroll to the bottom and find "Local network access".
  • Change the setting to "Allow".
