Line 1 federal schedule A is not correct. I'll provide the actual numbers here:

 

Our two RRB-1099's total Medicare premium from box 11: $5,233.60 + $5,233.60 =$10,467.20.

The $8,562 below is not correct. Should be $10,467. I am not aware of any reason for a reduction.

And the $8,562 is on line 1 of schedule A as shown below.

I tried compensating for the difference by entering $10,467 - $8,562 =$1,905.00 into the deductions section for "Additional medical insurance premiums", but this resulted in another wrong number: $9,184.

 

I know it is not really an issue in our case since we don't have enough deduction to go over the 7.5% of AGI ( but we still have more medical deductions to add). It may be an issue for the Kansas state return since our itemized deductions are much higher than the Kansas standard deduction.
