Hi - I am having issues with my 2025 Idaho State Tax Return. My understanding is that we shouldn't get the SALT deduction on our state return, even if we took it on our federal return. So line 14 of Form 40 is supposed to add that back. My line 14 is adding back a random number that makes no sense to me (doesn't match the formulas from the instructions for Form 40 or anything on my Schedule A from the Federal Return). Also, it keeps telling me the wrong information related to itemized deductions vs standard deductions, etc. Is anyone else struggling with the Idaho State Returns this year? I know what I want it to look like, but TurboTax doesn't even give me the option to get it correct manually myself. It is trying to force me to do it incorrectly.
