In order to prepare state taxes in TurboTax you will first need to prepare a federal return for 2024. You can prepare that in TurboTax by starting here. Once you have prepared the federal return then you will carry over and create the state return. If you don't need to file the federal return when you get to the checkout you can say to hold it or paper-file it.
If you already filed a federal return for 2024 in TurboTax then go to that return in your TurboTax account and scroll down the screen until you see a button that says "Add a State". Click on that and create the state return that you need.
