In order to enter the backup withholding:
- Find the Deductions and Credits section of your return.
- Scroll down on the screen until you see the section Estimates and Other Taxes Paid.
- Select the section there called Other Income Taxes.
- The next screen will have the title Other Income Taxes.
- On that screen scroll down to the section called Other Income Taxes Paid in 2016.
- Then select Withholding not already entered on a W-2 or 1099
