Get your taxes done using TurboTax

To troubleshoot this in TurboTax Desktop, try selecting 
 

  1. File 
     
  2. and then Save As... 
     
  3. then add the number 2 (or some other modifier) to the end of the file name, 
     
  4. and then hitting Save

If you are able to save the file this way, then proceed using the new 2 file (e.g.) as your tax return document moving forward.
