The "successful" message often means the login was authorized, but the data transfer failed. To fix it, try clearing your browser's cookies/cache, switching browsers, or disabling VPNs, then try the import again. 

 

Sometimes you need to be sure that "third party access" is checked in your Vanguard account settings.
