Can you explain which screen you're on and the cause of the error you've found? We'll need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed to take a deeper look at this. You can send one to us by following the directions below:
TurboTax Online
- Sign-in to your online account.
- Select "Pick up where you left off"
- Click on “Tax Tools” to the left hand side of the screen.
- Select "Tools"
- A drop-down will appear. Click on “Share my file with Agent”. This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.
- When the token is generated, be prepared to type in your notes or in a message (unable to copy and paste)
- Click “OK”. The tax file will then be sanitized and sent to us. This action will generate a Token Number
- Please respond directly to this message and provide the Token Number that was generated.
TurboTax Desktop
- Open your return.
- Click “Online” and select "Send Tax File to Agent".
- This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.
- When the token is generated, be prepared to type in your notes or in a message (unable to copy and paste)
- Click “OK”. The tax file will then be sanitized and sent to us. This action will generate a Token Number
- Please respond directly to this message and provide the Token Number that was generated.
