My 1st entry to USA was on Jun 10 2018 on H1, So for 2018 i have completed substantial presence test of 183 days to be considered a resident alien for 2018.
I wanna know if I still need to file a dual status?
Also, in 2018 my wife was in India and she was working there. Can I do Election to File Joint Return(https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-alien-spouse). If yes, do I need to report her earnings from India also? Also if i do Election process do i still need to file dual status?
