Get your taxes done using TurboTax

In fact, Microsoft has not dropped support for Windows 10.  They're still offering paid support.  Intuit has even responded to Microsoft's clarification and doubled down, saying that Windows 10 will not be supported in TurboTax 2025.  This is unfortunate.  There's no technical reason to prevent backward compatibility, so I can only assume that Intuit has made a deal with the devil (Microsoft).

I've been buying TurboTax since 1993, but I will not buy it anymore if they do not let me run it under Windows 10.  I primarily use Linux, but I have a set of Windows VMs with all of my previous TurboTax software installations.  As Windows 11 requires at TPM, and most hypervisors don't emulate one very well, I'm left with no choice but to find an alternative.

I think Intuit is a pawn here, and Microsoft is using their "relationship" to leverage more W11 adoption.  I think it will backfire.
