I do IT consulting and I have a CPA client that uses the Tax Preparation software Lacerte (owned by Intuit). My client got an email from them around April stating their software for the tax year 2025 could not be installed on Windows 10, only Windows 11. This set us scrambling to either replace their computers (and the subsequent and expensive migration nightmare) or figure out another way before the time came to install the new software. A month or so later they get another email walking back their position, only warning you that Windows 10 is not RECOMMENDED for their software UNLESS you get EXTENDED SECURITY UPDATES, which is a reasonable position to take.
