Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Again, another false and misleading statement by Intuit re: the Microsoft Windows 10 consumer ESU program. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING TO ENROLL INTO THE CONSUMER ESU PROGRAM. There are lots of ways to get it for free from Microsoft. There was lots of online discussion of this in the Win10 online forum, and virtually no one has paid to get the ESU. Just check 'back up your settings' on your system and that qualifies to the the ESU for free for the next year, until October 2026.

I find it somewhat ironic, as Windows 11 23H2 goes EOL on Nov 11, 2025. In 9 days. Windows 11 22H2 and 21H2 are classified as unsupported by Microsoft. Only Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 will be fully supported after this November 11.

So is Intuit requiring that Windows 11 users update to 24H2 or later? I don't see that requirement anywhere.

I currently can't update to Win11 on my home system and plan to keep it on Win 10 in the ESU program. I am actively investigating TurboTax alternatives.
