since it appears you have not filed, if you also owe there is a late filing penalty of 5% of the amount owed for the first 5 months late, there is also a late payment penalty of .5% a month (does apply for the months the late filing penalty is assessed). there is also interest charged on the unpaid balance from 4/15/2025. so file ASAP, if necessary, set up a payment plan.
that's federal. states also have their own penalty schedules
if you don't owe there are no late filing or payment penalties.
