I didn't ask for extension back in april, and haven't yet filed for 2024.
My current tax due from turbo tax is $35.000 that I confirmed with a Turbo Tax expert.
I have three questions on this topic.
Q1: how is the late fee calculated? is that a percentage of what's due that accumulate every month since filing? I imagine that is going to be a pretty high fee in my case in the order of thousands of dollars
Q2: I heard about Tax Abatement. Is this a viable way for me to pay less fee even if I didn't file for extension? especially because we are before 15 Oct deadline?
Q3: Are there any other strategy to reduce my late fees now?
