Bigger picture - desktop thru July 2025 had 4.3mil users declining 4% annually vs. 35mil online 'units' (which may be multiple returns per user), declining 1% annually in total but growing 6% in what they call "higher average revenue per return (ARPR) filers"

Intuit care about growing the high revenue 35mil, not sustaining the low revenue 4mil.

 

Win10 share of Windows in the US is steadily declining monthly, down to 35.6% as of end Sep, likely lower within the Turbo user base as most folks would be pushed by this decision to upgrade sooner than later and move on.  Intuit likely has stats and projections on this and we're ok with the expected user loss which will be far lower by Jan/Feb.

Absolutely agree their agenda is to push people to online and then upsell other services.  They've also been lobbying hard to kill IRS Direct File and want to capture that.  We'll see in a year where all the churn lands.
