This is for the section where you are entering your 1095-A, right? Look at your dependent's Form 1040:
- If line 15 is MORE than zero, forget line 15 and add up: (1) Line 2a, (2) Line 6a MINUS Line 6b, (3) Line 11, and then if he has a Schedule 1, Line 8d. In most cases, it will just be line 11 of their 1040.
- If line 15 is zero, you DON'T enter your dependent's MAGI into your tax return.
