Get your taxes done using TurboTax

another thread on online vs desktop here

If you're doing a lot of returns as the family CPA and have been using TT for a while, you're probably better off just tackling the inevitable Win 11 upgrade over the holidays and keep your tax process intact.  The Win 10 ESU allows you to put it off for a year securely, whether you do it in the next 5-6 months or 12 it's not much difference in the long term imo.

If you're in the "never win 11" camp and done with MSFT you could also move to Mac - Mac Mini's are a good solution which start at $600 (on sale for $500 right now).

Alternatives are the usual other players - H&R Block, Taxact, FreeTaxUSA etc, there are probably threads on pros and cons of each.  I don't think there's clarity yet if HRB will support Win 10, tho they have been more lenient on old Mac OS versions.  I think at this point folks are just waiting to see all these s/w releases to see the compatibility details.

Believe Intuit are also doing away with desktop basic version if you are used to that.  And ItsDeductible.
