Windows version of 2024 Turbotax treats capital gain incorrectly on the California return.
Sched CA line 7 shows Fed cap gains as a subtraction when cap gains are taxed at normal state rates.
The result of this bug is that California income taxes are seriously underreported. I seem to recall that this bug existed as far back as Turbotax 2022.
I tried reporting the bug to Turbotax support, but they blew me off.
Come on Turbotax. You can and should do better.
