Get your taxes done using TurboTax
@user17573500724 they do it whenever the OS falls out of support so as long as Apple is pulling support on an OS, Intuit will follow suit. Same with Windows 10 which remains out of technical unsupport from this October other than the ESU program to keep machines viable with critical/important security patches during replacement.
The message from Intuit is - keep your H/W and OS current, or use online, or use something else, they are ok with losing "low revenue" desktop users as long as their online revenue is growing. Desktop revenue $200mil is not nothing, but only 1% of their total $20+bn revenue, 10% of their overall Turbotax user base, and declining 5% annually while online/live is growing 10%; it's just not the same business as it was 20 years ago. We'll see in a year how all these decisions affected user numbers and revenues but it's unlikely to be material to their bottom line - it may even help boost it.
