Does TurboTax realize how many customers it might lose by requiring Windows 11???? Neither laptop will upgrade to Windows11, because of the processor, which I can't do anything about!!!!
Without forms mode, I'm sunk, since I use both the interview and forms mode when doing my taxes. Sometimes forms mode is a quicker way to find the data entry point I am looking for. I also use the blank form to submit clarifications to other forms, such as medical expenses. Unfortunately, it looks like I need to buy another laptop just to use TurboTax for 2025 -- not for any other reason. It is ridiculous. The consumer should be aware of and willingly take the risk of any Win10 security flaws. For TurboTax to put this type of burden on the consumer is just plain WRONG. Not having the actual return on my computer is also a problem. I don't like the idea of Intuit having all my information and hoping they will keep it safe. What happens if I need to amend it in the future? Will the online version go back 3 years for an amendment. One year I amended the same return twice. I really dread going to another software package. I've been using turbotax for at least 20 or 30 years or more.
