The IRS does have your W-2s and 1099s. A Wage and Income transcript from the IRS (see DoninGA's post above) will have the information from your W-2s and 1099s, though it is not in the format of the actual forms. However, the IRS transcript does not have any state information. If you live or work in a state that has state income tax, you will have to get the complete form from the employer or payer. Whether a 1099 has any state information depends on the type of 1099 and on choices that you made.
