Agree, the less information you keep on another site - all the better. Any site can get hacked, we seen it in the past, but many forget. I had almost 40 years working as a system software tech and I can tell you for sure- I could get to all the data collected in the state. But , that is from the inside and is not as likely, but does happen. You need to also be more worried about attacks from outside- even other countries.
People just don't understand what happens between pressing enter and your screen is refreshed. Lots of places to get your data and that is in addition to hacking directly into a company data site.
