This is not good. First, Microsoft has imposed hardware requirements that prevent MANY of us from just simply upgrading. Second, Microsoft is offering updates for a fee .. so the premise here is a bit bogus. Third, I'm finding this hard to believe. I'm open for going to on-line, but my mother passed and she doesn't have an account, which means I have to create an account for her just to do her final years' taxes. Finally .. it's AUGUST .. thanks for the advanced warning :(
