In any case, if you are using Online TurboTax, you can preview your preliminary Form 1040 during return preparation, but you can't make direct entries on it. Here's how to view it:
- While logged into your online return, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then TOOLS.
- In the Tools window choose VIEW TAX SUMMARY.
- When at the Tax Summary screen, go to the left column menu and choose PREVIEW MY 1040.
I think you're using Online TurboTax, but if you are using desktop TurboTax software installed on your computer and want to see the Form 1040, you can go into Forms Mode and in the left column list of forms you can select to view the Form 1040 that's being prepared. But as @ rjs said above, you don't make direct entries on it; you use the interview questions, and TurboTax will fill it out.
