Get your taxes done using TurboTax

When you updated your W-4 form, did you indicate that you are Single now?  Since you stated you have no dependents, you are not able to file as a Qualified Surviving Spouse and take advantage of the better tax rates that Married Filing Joint status would get you.  Generally there is more tax withheld for Single tax status filers than Married Filing Joint tax status filers.  That could be why you are now clearing less in your paycheck.  To be certain though, I would suggest you use our W-4 Calculator  to get an accurate response as to how you should complete your W-4 form based on your specific information.  Then compare it to what you submitted and make any necessary changes.

Regarding using the form 104EZ, that form was discontinued by IRS and is no longer in use.  You will typically file the standard 1040 form.
