Thanks for the reply. I am waiting for Health Equity to process the excess HSA contribution removal, takes 3 business days. My employer's HR Dept said no corrected W-2 will be issue and that I need to submit the Distribution of Excess HSA Contribution form to Health Equity which is what I did yesterday.
Hopefully it's not too complicated to do the amended tax return. Do I update form 8889 manually? Never done a 1040-X before so again, wait and see.
