@1dragonlady1 the IRS will know from your amendment..... the tax system is a voluntary reporting system. It is assumed you are reporting accurately. If ever audited, you'll be able to prove you didn't over contribute (W-2 Box 12 code W less the documentation showing the Administrator send you $777).
