This seems very cumbersome & complicates Form 116 as I have Interest & Dividends that attracted foreign taxes.
It also conflicts with reporting Canadian RIFFs. Turbo tax needs to create a separate category to handle Private Canadian Pensions with taxes withheld along with RIFF's where taxes are withheld providing boxes to record both the income & Tax withheld.
In Tubo Tax Reporting under Pension Plans & using 99-999999 as the tax payer ID works within Turbo tax - not sure how the IRS will handle
