Get your taxes done using TurboTax
This is a good match. These abbreviations (UI WF SWF) are common on New Jersey W-2s in box 14:
- The mandatory contributions for New Jersey Unemployment Insurance/Workforce Development/Supplemental Workforce Funds (UI/WF/SWF),
- Disability Insurance (DI) and
- Family Leave Insurance (FLI)
Similarly, the FLI, UI/HC/WD, and DI are for unemployment insurance/workforce development partnership fund/supplemental workforce fund contribution or disability insurance contributions, and/or family leave insurance contributions and paid to New Jersey.
Normally, my advice is to report your W-2 as it is shown, but if you can input the figures from your W-2 into box 14, I would do it, because those taxes aren't local taxes, they are State of NJ Employment taxes, and that's where they belong.
