Get your taxes done using TurboTax
For a handful of people getting this error, the cause is special characters in your email address. To change your email address, follow these steps:
- Select Intuit Account on navigation menu.
- Intuit Account Management opens in a new tab. Select on Sign in & Security.
- Select the Email address field to edit.
- Enter new email address in both fields and select Save.
- Avoid special characters like ‘, #, * in the email address.
- After verifying the email address, return to the TurboTax tab. Select Tax Home.
- Alternatively, if they see File in the navigation bar, select that to go to Finish & File directly.
- In Tax Home, navigate to Review and file and select Finish and file.
- Click on the action button associated with Step 1.
- If they paid with credit card, select View your receipt.
- If they paid with Refund Transfer, select Revisit.
- Navigate through/follow the steps from there to finish filing
If filing an Extension, follow these steps:
- Select Intuit Account on navigation menu.
- Intuit Account Management opens in a new tab. Select on Sign in & Security.
- Select the Email address field to edit.
- Enter new email address in both fields and select Save.
- Refresh the Easy Extension webpage and confirm their email is correct on this screen (image)
