You can’t cancel a return once it's pending. If you haven't submitted the return, you can just delete the return in TurboTax.  

Can I cancel or amend a pending return?

If you haven't submitted your return, you can go back and delete it:

1. Open your return if you haven't already.
2. Select Tax Tools from the left menu, then Clear & Start Over.
3. Select Yes to confirm.
