As long as your return was accepted and then name change is the only difference, you do not need to amend your return for the name change on your W-2.
As long as the name on your return matches the name on your social security card (assuming you changed your name with the Social Security Administration).
If you did not, then your return may be rejected and you would need to change your name under the Personal Info section and resubmit.
