If you are using TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop in the step-by-step mode, all you have to do to create an additional Form 8949 page with a different sales type (e.g. Box B) you just a transaction that needs to be reported on that page and the program will create it. If you are using TurboTax Desktop and entering directly on Forms,
- Go to Schedule D
- At the top of Schedule D, click on the QuickZoom for "Report investment sales on the Form 1099-Worksheet"
- On Form 1099-B Workshet click on the "QuickZoom" in the middle of the page for "Use the Capital Asset Worksheet to enter individual sales"
- Enter your transaction and then close the form.
- You will now have a Form 8949 with the category you just entered on the Capital Asset Worksheet
